Since not every EU parliamentary group and not every EU parliamentarian is against the contents of the REACH regulation, but – on the contrary – is in favor of its contents, the Council of European Tattoo Associations have come together again and formulated as the acting tattoo associations a “Letter of Support the EU-Petition” under the leadership of Austria.
The acting European Tattoo Federations take the next important step with the support of the European Tattoo Panel.
At the beginning of November, a total of 12 members of the Council of European Tattoo Associations CETA address a unified letter prepared by Austria to various EU parliamentarians to provide with information about possible consequences that could arise from the REACH Regulation for the tattoo industry.
The next goal is to bring in a resolution against the REACH regulation in its current form and to pass it. However, this will only work if we can win enough votes from the parliamentary groups for our project.
So that the EU parliamentarians are extensively informed for an adequate decision and sufficiently sensitized for our interests, the respective EU land parliamentarians are written to personally with a letter uniformly formulated by Austria over the Tattoo federations belonging to country. In addition, they will be or have already been contacted by telephone and informed about the REACH issues.
